Davis Instruments 6162 Vantage Pro2 Plus with Passive Solar Radiation Shield
The Vantage Pro family of wireless weather stations is the first and only stations in its class to use frequency hopping spread spectrum radio technology to transmit weather data wirelessly up to 1000 feet (300 meters). You can even add wireless repeaters for distances up to 2 miles (3.2 km)!
With state-of-the-art technology at an affordable price, the Plus model Vantage Pro2 weather station collects and transmits a wide range of weather data including outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, rain amount and rain rate. It also includes two addional sensors, providing UV index and dose, solar radiation, and is capable of calculating evapotranspiration.
The wireless version includes console/receiver, integrated sensor suite (ISS), and mounting hardware. The ISS includes rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer, 40' (12 m) anemometer cable, solar radiation sensor, UV sensor, sensor mounting shelf, and solar panel. Temperature and humidity sensors are enclosed in standard radiation shield. ISS is solar powered. Electronic components are housed in a weather-resistant shelter. Console may be powered using the included AC-power adapter or with three C batteries (not included).
The cabled version includes a console, integrated sensor suite with the additional sensors, mounting hardware, and AC-power adapter. A 100' (30 m) cable connects the sensor suite to the console, which also provides power to the sensors.
