Davis Instruments 7720
Davis Rain Collector Heater

The Davis Instruments 7720 Rain Collector Heater is used in cold climates to measure freezing rain or the moisture content of snowfall (equivalent precipitation). Without the heater, frozen precip is not measured until it melts. The Davis Weather 7720 requires access to AC power; may not be run using a solar power kit. Includes 24-watt, 24-volt heater with thermal cut-off switch, control unit, insulating reflective blanket, and AC-power adapter. Includes 50' cable.

Shielded 4-conductor extension cables are available to extend the length of the 24-volt connection. Each includes a waterproof coupler kit for joining two cables together. Maximum total cable length is 120 feet.
