The Davis Instruments Daytime Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield Kit provides an economical solution for adding the benefits of fan aspiration to your wireless or cabled Vantage Pro2 or Pro2 Plus. The daytime model is half the cost of the 24-hour fan-aspirated models but is nearly 75% as effective in reducing the effects of daytime radiation. The solar-powered fan runs during the day. Since there is no backup battery, the fan will cease running when night falls and the effects of radiation are less.

This solution is a great alternative if you originally purchase the non-fan aspirated model of the VP2 but later find that you do indeed need a fan-aspirated radiation shield.

The Davis 7747 Daytime Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield Kit includes the fan, solar panel, additional radiation shield plates, and hardware as shown above.

**Please note that the Davis Weather 7747 is not compatible with the original Vantage Pro (Vantage Pro "1"). It will only work with the Vantage Pro2 line of products.
