Made from heat resistant anti-reflective glass, the Fenix FILTER-ADAPTER-S-R for L & P Series Flashlights produces a beam of red light that, unlike white light, will not degrade night vision. The filter adapter also reduces the intensity of light output making it useful during nighttime tactical operations for close range applications such as map reading. Many game animals see poorly in the red portion of the color spectrum and hunters often use red lighting to avoid spooking them.
