Monitor and protect what's important to you with the La Crosse Technology TX60U-IT Weather Direct Online Temperature and Humidity Wireless Alert System. The La Crosse TX60U-IT temperature/humidity sensor is an accessory for your Weather Direct weather forecaster that monitors the conditions of the surrounding environment. The sensor can be mounted nearly anywhere, inside or out, within 200 feet of your Weather Direct Gateway. It also includes a detachable temperature probe that allows you the option of measuring the temperature of dry soil, or other environment such as inside a refrigerator or freezer. The temperature probe is NOT suitable for a wet environment.

The temperature and humidity data from the TX60U-IT sensor is transmitted to the Weather Direct Gateway, which then uploads the collected measurements to your WeatherDirect.com online account (high speed internet and router or broadband modem with built-in router is required). Based on the limits defined by you on your personal Weather Direct user account, if conditions rise above or fall below them within the environment the TX60U-IT is monitoring, the Weather Direct system will alert you. These alerts can be sent to you via email or SMS text message on your mobile phone. One year of free email/text notifications is included with the initial sensor activation on WeatherDirect.com but a subscription is required after the first year.

The Weather Direct online user account provides access to view and utilize the collected measurements from the TX60U-IT. In addition to setting the limits of high and low temperature, humidity or probe readings, you can also choose how often the readings are taken and stored in two, five, ten, and 20 minute increments (with time and date stamp). Reported temperature/humidity measurements can then be downloaded from your Weather Direct account as an Excel format file whenever you need it (no subscription required).

As mentioned above, the La Crosse TX60U-IT is for customers that already have a Weather Direct Gateway. If you would like to purchase the online temperature and humidity wireless alert system but don't want to purchase a Weather Direct weather forecaster, the TX60U-SET provides the same alert and measurement collection functions without having the forecaster display unit.
