Rain Guages
A rain gauge collects falling precipitation and funnels it to a rain measurement device. In standard manual rain gauges (those that have to be manually emptied), the rain measurement device is a graduated cylinder. In digital rain gauges, a self-emptying tipping bucket rain gauge is the most common type used for rain measurement.
Digital & Wireless Rain GaugesAll of the digital and wireless rain gauges we carry feature a self-emptying (tipping bucket) collection system. The accumulated rainfall is displayed on a convenient digital display. |

Manual Rain GaugesManual rain gauges are a simple tube, closed on one end and calibrated in inches to indicate the amount of liquid. A manual rain gauge must be hand-emptied after each precipitation event in order to ensure correct measurements. |
