The RainWise MK-III Computer Interface is a device that will record and store weather data received from MK-III sensor assemblies. The MK-III Computer Interface has 32K of memory which allows the device to log data independently of a computer for 3 months. Connecting the Wireless Computer Interface to a dial-up modem will permit remote access to locations such as camps and summer homes. It provides both current and historical information. The MK-III computer interface has an RS-232 serial interface. A Serial to USB port adapter cable is also available.
Note: There are two MK-III Computer Interface versions available, standard and long range. You must select the proper model for your RainWise MK-III system, as they are not compatible with each other.
A number of 3rd party software programs support the RainWise MK-III Computer Interface. The Home edition of Weather View 32 Windows software is included with the Computer Interface when purchased from WeatherShack. The software will automatically upload any logged data from the computer interface into a weather database on your PC's hard drive. In addition to the real-time display, the software provides a wide variety of tables and graphs for viewing your weather database. Data is stored in one minute increments on the computers hard drive for future reference and analysis. The program has a calendar display which provides the temperature, rainfall, wind speed, and barometric pressure extremes for any month in a compact form.
