3 stars Difficult To Easily Read
I was surprised at how quickly it arrived and the packing was top notch. Thermometer graduation lines are all the same width(boldness) and nearly all the same length. The blue liquid seems to become more faint as it rises in the column. Found same item at an ACE Hardware the other day, same issues (difficult to read). Got this for a gift but would be ashamed to give it. Contemplating another $30 for the Taylor model 5458, face looks clearer. Wish I could show you a pic of my very old Taylor min/max, it is so easy to read with just a glance.

3 stars Min/Max thermometer
It took quite a bit of shaking to get all the separated red indicator liquid back together. I followed the instructions provided. A couple days later I had to do it all again. Seems to be working good now. Had prompt service from weathershack and would order from them again.

Same solid product I am used to own G when it is made by Taylor. Easy to read and reset. Arrived ready to put in service.

5 stars good thermometer and excellent service.
i am partial to mechanical thermometers and the Taylor Max/min has always been reliable and long lived. the thermometer from WeatherShack looked defective and intially would not read: the metal pin on the high temp side was below the level of the liquid and the thermometer would not read accurately or record the high. none of the maneuvers on the package would fix this Weathershack promptly sent a replacement. Happily enough the 'defective' thermometer fixed itself over the next few days. it appears that the normal expansion and contraction of the fluid pushed the pin above the column surface and all is well. they haven't billed me for the replacement yet but i have asked them to. good folks and they do stand behind what they sell

5 stars As good as they get.
My wife's family are farmers, and they live and die by accurate weather data. You cannot get a better thermometer than the Taylor!

5 stars Nice Thermometer
Very good thermometer. This replaces another Min/Max thermometer that did not work. Not a Taylor unit.
