Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 ISS
These Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Integrated Sensor Suites (ISS) are the same sensors included with comparable Davis Vantage Pro2 console/ISS packages (Davis 6152, 6152C, 6153, 6162, 6162C & 6163). They can be used to replace an original ISS or in applications where a console isn't needed. To use a Davis Pro2 ISS with a PC or MAC without having a console, you'll need one wireless/cabled integrated sensor suite, the wireless or cabled Weather Envoy and a direct WeatherLink data-logger cable -OR- one wireless integrated sensor suite and a WeatherLink Live hub. Note: The Weather Live is not compatible with cabled Davis Vantage Pro2 weather stations and cabled Vantage Pro2 ISS units.
The standard model Vantage Pro2 ISS has the ability to monitor wind, rain, temperature, & humidity. The plus model Vantage Pro2 ISS includes all features found on the standard model and also includes ultraviolet (UV) index & dose, solar radiation, and evapotranspiration. The UV and solar sensors are pre-installed on the sensor mounting shelf.
A fan aspirated version is recommended if temperature accuracy is a concern and the unit will be installed in a location where the temperature is regularly above 90 degrees F with little or no moving air. The patented, solar-powered, 24-hour fan aspirated radiation shield combines active and passive aspiration to minimize this effect.
