Product Returns

Overview

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return any item within 60 days of the purchase date for an exchange or complete refund of the amount you paid for the product. Any returns authorized after 60 days are at our discretion and the return will only be eligible for in-store credit.

Please note that all products come with a manufacturer warranty (typically one year). If you experience any problems with your product during the warranty period, please contact the manufacturer and they will be happy to assist you. Some manufacturers have specific return restrictions with regard to problems experienced with their products. Please see the Manufacturer Restrictions section below.

Processing time may vary depending on daily return volume however your return will typically be processed within one to three business days of being received.

Non-Defective Products

You may use the Merchandise Return Form that is printed on the packing slip included with the order. If you no longer have the packing slip, you may click HERE to print a blank merchandise return form. If you do not have access to a printer, please include a typed or handwritten note that includes all the information found on the merchandise return form.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR REFUNDS:

  • Complete the merchandise return form or a typed/handwritten note. If you need to include additional information you may attach a typed/handwritten note to the merchandise return form.
  • Return all components of the product you received, including any instruction booklets, accessories, etc.
  • Please pack your return securely.
  • Return the merchandise to the address indicated on the merchandise return form.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. This is typical of most online retailers for non-defective products.
  • We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit to our facility. If this is a concern you may wish to insure your package.
  • We will issue a refund for the cost of the product to the method of payment used for the original purchase.

  • We will contact you to obtain payment if the new product cost is greater than the available return credit.
  • If the available return credit is greater than the new product cost, we will refund the difference to the method of payment used for the original purchase.
  • If the new product cost is less than $50, the customer is responsible for the outbound shipping cost of the new product.

Defective, Damaged or Received the Wrong Product

Please contact us so that we can determine the best course of action for your problem. Note: The Merchandise Return Form cannot be used for this type of return.

  • Return all components of the product you received, including any instruction booklets, accessories, etc.
  • Please pack your return securely.
  • Affix the pre-paid shipping label to the outer shipping carton. Please ensure that there are no other tracking labels attached to the shipping carton.
  • We will refund the cost of the product to the method of payment used for the original purchase.
  • If any, we will refund the shipping fee originally paid in accordance to the "Shipping Expenses Paid at the Time of Purchase" section below.

  • Once the best course of action has been determined, we will email you the proper return instructions.
  • We will email a pre-paid shipping label for the return.
  • Return all components of the product you received, including any instruction booklets, accessories, etc.
  • Please pack your return securely.
  • Affix the pre-paid shipping label to the outer shipping carton. Please ensure that there are no other tracking labels attached to the shipping carton.
  • A replacement will be shipped once the return is received.
  • The outbound shipping method for a replacement is at our sole discretion.

As an option, if you do not wish to wait for the exchange before getting your new item(s), you can re-order the item for immediate shipping. Then, once we receive your return, we will process a refund. We will refund the shipping fee originally paid in accordance to the "Shipping Expenses Paid at the Time of Purchase" section below. Should you wish to take advantage of this option, please contact us.

Shipping Expenses Paid at Time of Purchase

Fees paid for shipping are only eligible for credit or refund in the following circumstances:

Non-Timely Deliveries: If the ship method you selected was a guaranteed method and the package did not arrive as promised, we will refund the shipping fee subject to UPS or USPS terms and conditions of service. Please note that if the courier deems the service failure was due to something beyond their control (including weather), shipping fees are not eligible for credit or refund.

Defective Items: All products are new and sent in good faith. If you receive a defective item, we will refund the original shipping fee. Upgraded expedited shipping and international shipping fees (brokerage, duty, taxes) are not eligible for credit or refund.

Damaged Items: If you receive a damaged item, we will file a damage claim with the shipping courier that delivered your package. Once filed it generally takes eight to ten business days for the courier to provide the results of the investigation. If the shipping courier determines that the damage incurred is their failure, we will refund the original shipping fee.

Mis-Shipped Items: If you receive an item that is different from the item you ordered, we will either refund the shipping fees paid or ship the correct item to you using the shipping method you selected.

What should I do if the package arrives damaged?

If you notice that the shipping box is significantly damaged, please refuse delivery by the carrier and contact us. If you are unable to refuse the shipment, please save the product and all packaging, and immediately contact us to arrange for a carrier inspection and pickup of the damaged product. Timely receipt of this information is necessary for us to file a damage claim.

What if I refuse my shipment or wish to cancel an order that is already in transit?

Once a package leaves our facility, our normal return policy applies. You may refuse a shipment at the time of delivery if you wish. We do ask that you contact us advising of the refusal so that we know how to proceed once your packages arrives at our facility. Please note that the shipping cost of the return will be deducted from your credit or refund.

What if the delivery address I provided was incorrect and the package is undeliverable?

Packages sent via U.S. Mail:

We have no way of rerouting U.S. Mail packages once they have left our facility. If the address provided is close, the package may still get delivered. If only the street address contains an error, you may wish to contact your local post office and request assistance with the matter. If the package cannot be delivered, it will likely be returned to our facility by the postal service. Upon receiving the package, we are happy to resend the package to the correct address. Unless the address error was made by WeatherShack, we do kindly request reimbursement of shipping fees to the incorrect address.

Packages sent via UPS:

In many cases we are able to reroute UPS packages while they are in transit. If you find that the address you provided is incorrect, please contact us and we will make the necessary changes with UPS. Please note: UPS charges a $15.00 intercept fee. Unless the address error was made by WeatherShack, the customer is responsible for the UPS fee. If the package cannot be intercepted, it will likely be returned to our facility by UPS. Upon receiving the package, we are happy to resend the package to the correct address. Unless the address error was made by WeatherShack, we do kindly request reimbursement of shipping fees to the incorrect address.

Manufacturer Restrictions

Some manufacturers have implemented restrictions on products that have apparent problems. This prevents us from being able to accept these products back for replacement without their authorization. If you are having problems with your product and it was manufactured by one of the manufacturers below, please contact them directly for assistance. If the manufacturer determines that the product is defective and under warranty, they will either offer to repair/replace the product or refer you back to WeatherShack so that we can handle the replacement. You must contact us if you wish to receive a refund for a defective product.

All of these manufacturers are known for providing premium service and will strive to resolve your problem right away. If you receive anything less than satisfaction while working with the manufacturer, please contact us and we will be happy to get involved.
