DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The AcuRite 06075M module adds lightning detection to the Atlas Weather Sensor. Once installed, the Atlas touchscreen display will begin to receive visual and audible warnings of lightning strikes within a 25 mile range with a strike counter. The lightning detector module also allows for early warnings of lightning-producing storms and estimates the distance to the latest strike.

 

Note: The AcuRite 06075M lightning detector is only compatible with the Atlas Weather Sensor.

I have had some trouble with it not connecting but I think I got that ironed out and it has counted the lighting strikes with every storm that passed by.

The detector will tell you the distance and how many strikes of lightning in your area. It detected lightning at a distance of 22 miles during our last storm. Great upgrade to the system.

I've only been able to see it once in use, and it didn't give me the warning I was expecting. LIving in Florida with a pool, I want the lighting detector to give me the warnings I want that get my attention. I hope it gets there.
